Rotary vacuum evaporators (Rotadeszt). RVO-type vacuum evaporators are high-quality, safe, easy-to-use, user-friendly instruments. The Czech company INGOS has decades of rich manufacturing experience in laboratory instruments. Rotary vacuum evaporators are a basic tool of organic chemistry laboratories.
Two main models: RVO 004 (basic unit) and RVO 400 (programmable unit with digital display and vacuum gauge).
- The RVO 400 comes standard with a digitally displayed control unit for setting temperature, rotation speed, vacuum level, and operating the lift system
- Using the connected diaphragm vacuum pump, it maintains the pre-set vacuum level at a fixed value and displays it on screen
- Multiple programs can be stored in the unit's memory
- A wide range of glass accessories can be ordered; standard accessories include a 1000 ml and 2000 ml evaporating flask and a 1000 ml collecting flask
- Various distillation attachments are available: inclined, vertical, dry-ice condenser, etc.
- The glassware position is adjustable at +/- 20°, allowing use of flasks of various sizes
- Optional wireless remote control unit for remote operation (e.g. inside a closed fume hood)
- Timer: once the set time elapses, the unit stops the process, turns off bath heating, and stops rotation and the vacuum pump
- Motorized lift with limit switch for easy setting of the optimal immersion level
- Optionally can be connected to a computer for process documentation
RVO 400 technical parameters: rotation speed 10-280 RPM; evaporating flask size 20-4000 ml; bath temperature with water max. 100°C (+/- 1°C), with oil max. 180°C (+/- 3°C).
RVO 004 - the basic unit: rotation speed 10-200 min-1; analog control; bath temperature control via rotary knob: 35-95°C; maximum water bath volume: 3.5 liters, diameter 23 cm; evaporating flask size: 20-4000 ml; mechanical lift; condenser surface area: 1200 cm². Two versions: RVO 004 Standard (max. 95°C +/- 5°C) and RVO 004 Control (max. 95°C +/- 2°C). Supplied with flasks: 1 and 2 liter evaporating flasks, 1 liter collecting flask.
Options: circulating heating/cooling thermostat (e.g. ChillSafe 30-8) for regulating and recirculating the coolant temperature of the distillation attachment, offering significant drinking water savings; RotaSafe 15 aspiration vacuum pump with cooled circulating thermostat - dual function: vacuum pump for the rotary evaporator (2x10 liters/min at two suction ports, 20 mbar with 20°C water, 6 mbar with 0°C water) and cooling for the distillation attachment (600 W/20°C, 400 W/0°C, 200 W/-20°C).
